Although Austin Capps is returning for his junior year after playing a total of 19 games through his first two seasons with the Razorbacks, he should be on alert for a mammoth freshman by the name of Billy Ferrell.

Ferrell is a four-star defensive tackle from Fordyce, Ark., and has the size, strength and competitive attitude that could keep him in the running for a starting spot when the season begins in August.

There’s not a bigger incoming freshman in Arkansas’ entire 2018 class and that already gives Ferrell an upper hand. Some incoming freshmen have a tough time adjusting to the size of college athletes, but Ferrell is big enough to match up, and even out-muscle, anyone.

Conditioning may be an issue at 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, but he has all the physical tools be be a force at the nose tackle position. Could he push Capps for time?

Ferrell is ranked the No. 336 overall recruit and 28th-best defensive tackle, per 247Sports. He is also the second-best recruit in the state of Arkansas.
