Kendall Williamson is one of the highest-rated players in Stanford’s 2018 recruiting class and he fills a position of need for the Cardinal. In fact, Stanford is losing both Quenton Meeks and Alameen Murphy at the starting cornerback spots, which means Williamson could come in and fight for some snaps this summer.

Although Williamson could be a two-way player, there’s little chance he plays strictly on the offensive side of the ball as his defensive instincts are just far too good.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect from Senllville, Ga., has the potential to be a lockdown defensive back with aggressive tendencies. Those may cost him early on at the collegiate level, but he won’t back down, no matter the size of an opposing receiver or ball-carrier.

Williams is ranked the No. 345 player in the 2018 class and 32nd-best cornerback, according to 247Sports. He has a solid frame to play the position and he’s still growing. He chose the Cardinal over 32 other programs back in October. The list of suitors for Williamson was lengthy for a reason.
