4. Who will step up at wide receiver?

Surprisingly, Ohio State has never had a 1,000-yard receiver under Urban Meyer. That’s a shocking statistic given the fact that the Buckeyes continuously get four and five-star talent in the receiving corps and have sent guys like Michael Thomas and Curtis Samuel to the NFL.

Could this be the year that a receiver finally breaks the 1,000-yard mark? The Buckeyes have plenty of talent returning to the receiving corps such as Parris Campbell, KJ Hill, Terry McLaurin, Johnnie Dixon, Binjimen Victor and Austin Mack. If you’re counting, that’s the top six receivers from 2017 back in 2018 to lead the Buckeyes.

Campbell led the way with 584 yards and three touchdowns on 40 receptions while Hill had a team-high 56 catches for 549 yards and three scores. McLaurin was third with 29 catches for 436 yards and six touchdowns, followed by Dixon with 422 yards and eight scores on 18 catches, Victor with 349 yards and seven scores and Mack with 343 yards and two touchdowns.

There are plenty of solid pass-catchers, but will one distinctly stand out as the go-to target or true No. 1 receiver?

They all have the potential and we could see big jumps from Victor and Mack in 2017.
