4. Which early enrollees will stand out?

Louisville is bringing in the seventh-best recruiting class in the ACC which may not seem like that big of an accomplishment, but it also ranks in the top-30 nationally, according to 247Sports.

With the incoming freshman class, the Cardinals have a number of early enrollees who could come in and contend for some early playing time. Guys like four-star linebacker Robert Hicks could help bring the defense back to its glory days while three-star receiver Jatavious Harris could help make the already-deep receiving corps that much scarier.

The defense will receive most of the assistance from the early enrollees as cornerback Chandler Jones, defensive ends Michael Boykin and Jarrett Jackson, linebacker Quen Head and tackle Jared Goldwire. These are guys who could make an impact during the spring game while a trio of four-star defensive backs will be joining the Cardinals in the fall.

We will soon find out which incoming freshmen are ready for the big time and which ones will likely redshirt in 2018.
