3. Can receiving corps repeat its 2017 performance?

The wide receiving corps were an area of pride for Louisville in 2017 and with Lamar Jackson gone, they’ll need to show that their performance was no fluke.

Look at what’s returning, though. Jaylen Smith will be back as a senior following a 980-yard, seven-touchdown performance. He also had 60 catches, leading the team. Junior Dez Fitzpatrick had 45 receptions for 699 yards and nine touchdowns in 2017, good for second on the team and senior Seth Dawkins will also return following his 42-catch, 642-yard and four-touchdown campaign.

Don’t forget Traveon Samuel who had 21 receptions for 339 yards as a junior. That’s the top four targets from last season returning and three of which who had at least 640 yards.

Can the wide receivers repeat that performance and help Jawon Pass under center? This might be the most talented trio of receivers in the ACC, if not the nation, and Louisville needs to see a repeat of their 2017 showing.
