NFL Draft 2018: Top 5 late-round quarterback sleepers
By Dana Becker
Remember Kyle Allen? The much-heralded quarterback recruit who signed with Texas A&M and was suppose to lead them to the promised land after Johnny Manziel left.
Well, that never worked out for Allen, as he eventually left College Station and landed at Houston.
Things didn’t get much better for Allen, who never gained a strong foothold on the starting job with the Cougars and opted to leave school early for the pros.
He is very unlikely to get drafted, but Allen could make an impact as an undrafted pick based off his skills. He was a five-star prospect who threw for over 8,000 yards and 86 touchdowns in high school and had offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma State.

Allen threw for 4,283 yards with 37 touchdowns and 18 picks in his career. At Houston, he saw action in four games, completing a career-high 76 percent of his throws and flashing that ability that had everyone drooling when he left high school.
Projection: Seventh round or undrafted.
