Pick Analysis. DT. Texas. Poona Ford. 6. player. Scouting Report. 36

Round 7, No. 226 overall: After a combine invitation snub, 5-11, 300-pound Poona Ford showcased to NFL scouts what they were missing with his impressive pro day performance.

While his lack of size is the main concern for scouts, the numbers he posted at his pro day would have been up there with the defensive tackles at the combine.

40-Yard Dash: 4.94 seconds
Bench Press: 24 reps
Vertical Jump: 29.0 inches
3-Cone Drill: 7.4 seconds

Over his career with the Longhorns, Ford recorded 133 tackles, 90 solo, and 20.5 for a loss. He was the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, While the Seattle Seahawks are not desperate for a defensive tackle, they visited with Ford for he may transition to the NFL as a pass rushing tackle based on his size.
