Stanford Football 2018 Mock Draft: Which Cardinal will be drafted?
Things start to fall off for the former Stanford prospects after the top two guys come off the board. However, while the Cardinal might only have two Day 1 or 2 prospects they have plenty of NFL-caliber talent which will be selected in the later rounds. That starts with offensive lineman David Bright.
A redshirt senior, Bright waited til his third year at Stanford before he became a regular starter. Once he got on the field he rarely came off. Bright started 24 games over his final two seasons at the Farm lining everywhere up and down the line.
When it comes to making an NFL roster there are few traits more prized than versatility. Although he’s not going to be a starter out of training camp, he should land a roster spot based on his ability to play tackle or guard on either side of the line.
Bright is a gritty player who fought through his fair share of bumps and bruises to remain on the field at Stanford. His lanky, large body has proven to be incredibly durable thus far, helped at least in some capacity by his late collegiate start.
