4. Best running back duo in the nation may reside in Columbus

This could have been a takeaway even before the spring game, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that the duo of JK Dobbins and Mike Weber may be the best in college football.

Weber began his Ohio State career as Ezekiel Elliott’s backup and redshirted as a freshman. He broke out as a redshirt freshman in place of Elliott, rushing for over 1,000 yards and then started his sophomore year battling injuries. He gave way to Dobbins who rushed for 1,403 yards as a freshman and people were quick to jump off the Weber bandwagon.

However, the two will be able to split a decent amount of carries as each has made their case for starting running back this spring. Dobbins is considered a top draft prospect in the 2020 class but Weber has the potential to earn a spot for himself on an NFL team next year.

The 93-carry difference between the two in 2017 shouldn’t happen again in 2018, but depending on who has the hot hand, we could see a clear lead back again.

Either way, this is going to be the scariest duo in the nation.
