2. Dez Fitzpatrick is going to have a special season

Looking for one of the top receiver prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft? Dez Fitzpatrick might be your guy. The redshirt sophomore broke out as a freshman with 45 catches for 699 yards — good for second on the team — and then led the Cardinals with nine touchdown receptions.

Fitzpatrick became one of the fastest-rising receivers in the entire ACC and he used that strong 6-2, 200-pound frame to his advantage. He’s got a knack for high-pointing the ball and using his strong paws to reel in the toughest catches. He proved that once again during the spring game, catching eight passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.

This kid is due for a special season after improving even more during spring ball as the presumed No. 1 target of Jawon Pass.

Moreover, the first-year starting quarterback as well as Fitzpatrick have been developing a strong bond and could be one of the best duos in the nation, not just the ACC.

Gear up, folks. We could see the emergence of Fitzpatrick in 2018.
