7. THE Ohio State Buckeyes (2016)

Ohio State has some of the cleanest traditional uniforms, both home and away, in the history of college football. The scarlet, gray and white have transcended decades of Rose Bowl and college football lore.

The Buckeye helmet stickers that OSU players litter their helmets with is something that I dreamed of having on my own helmet as a kid — even a kid from Miami, Fla.

However, in 2016 when facing off against Nebraska, the Ohio State brass did the unthinkable — they messed with perfection. Ohio State wore some “Where’s Waldo?” inspired Nightmare on Elm Street knockoffs that looked terrible on camera.

The horizontal red stripes with mismatched grays on the jersey and helmet made for an awful sight. I’m not sure how the Columbus faithful reacted but I was both shocked and disgusted by the alternate uniforms worn that night. For a school with the tradition of the horseshoe, Woody Hayes, and Eddie George those uniforms spit on tradition.
