Michigan State football hosted elite 2020 Safety Darius Snow and his family today. What did he think about his time in East Lansing?

Michigan State football coaches had one of their biggest targets on campus for an unofficial visit. Darius Snow is a name Spartan fans already know, even being so early in the recruiting process for most 2020 prospects. He is the son of former Michigan State basketball great Eric Snow. His uncle Percy Snow starred in the gridiron at Michigan State.

I was able to speak with Darius after his visit and got his thoughts on getting up to Michigan State with his Pops, and younger brothers. On his visit, it gave the Snow family a chance to check out campus, and see the facilities. Snow told me, his Dad was talking about how much it’s changed since he was there as a student.

Although the buildings and facilities are much bigger and better than when his dad was a student, the part that stuck out to him was the people. “They really blew me away, not necessarily with fancy facilities or whatever, but that the coaches are all just great people.” He added all the players he met were all great people too.

When asked about the visit he told me, “it felt like home.” He spent a lot of time with head coach Mark Dantonio, they were able to talk and get to really know each other. “We just shared our core values, he’s just a classy guy, a family man, I can already tell.” In terms of Dantonio’s overall demeanor, Snow said “he’s actually a lot like coach Saban at Alabama.”

Michigan State football coaches and players definitely left a very lasting impression on the entire Snow family, and will definitely be a top contender for his commitment. The Snow family wants to make it up to a game this season, but a date hasn’t been set yet.
