Fullback

Starter: Realus George

Backup: Trayone Gray

Realus George is a big bodied, big mouthed 90’s style fullback. George is a 6-foot-2, 255-pound fullback out of Atlanta, GA. He seemingly will be the starter in 21 (two backs, one tight end) packages for Miami. His backup is senior running back turned fullback Trayone Gray. Gray hasn’t done much since coming to Miami and will battle a freshman for playing time.

Tight End

Starter: Brevin Jordan

Backups: Michael Irvin II, Will Mallory

The Miami Hurricanes went from “Tight End U” to tight end who after Christopher Herndon IV was injured in 2017. Herndon’s backup was a legacy player in Michael Irvin II, the son of NFL hall of famer Michael Irvin. Irvin provided little production and had a rough spring practice season. The starter by LSU will be freshman Brevin Jordan. Jordan has all of the tools as a four-star signee from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas.

The backups will be Irvin II who caught nine balls for 78 yards last season and freshman Will Mallory who was not only a football standout as a four-star prospect but a track standout as well. Irvin II will have a lot of maturing to do if he plans to hold off the two incoming stars at the tight end position.
