Talk about a rough season, Tulsa didn’t quite have the best experience in 2017, going just 2-10 with lone wins against UL Lafayette and a shocking blowout of Houston.

The Golden Hurricane aren’t expected to improve a ton with just 12 returning starters and one of the worst defenses in the country a year ago. As for the offense, the pass game was 110th in the nation but sophomore Luke Skipper could change that. He’ll begin his first full year as a starter and try to improve on his 1,141 yards and three touchdowns from last season.

However, Texas’ defense will shut down the Tulsa offense with no problem. The Longhorns are still improving on this side of the ball, but the Golden Hurricane aren’t exactly a potent group.

Sam Ehlinger will have another big game through the air as Tulsa finished 112th in the nation in passing yards allowed last year while the run game will finally take off against this team.

While Daniel Young and Toniel Carter could be the projected starter, freshman Keaontay Ingram could take the reins and lead this offense, which is my bold prediction. He’ll have his first 100-yard game against Tulsa.

Final Score: Tulsa 10, Texas 42 (2-0)
