Week 2: Clemson at Texas A&M
Honorable Mention:
- Georgia at South Carolina
- USC at Stanford
- UCLA at Oklahoma
The beginning of the Texas A&M Aggies’ treacherous schedule starts with a golden opportunity to take down the formidable Clemson Tigers at home in Week 2.
Of course, everyone knows the Tigers and what they have to offer, but the Aggies will serve as one of the bigger question marks heading into the new season, especially with new head coach Jimbo Fisher coming over from Florida State.
Fisher has already made a splash with his prestigious recruiting classes so far, but what he is able to do with the current roster inherited will be quite the store to follow in 2018.
The Aggies showed glimpses of great skill and talent in 2017, but also at times demonstrated strings of poor and inconsistent play. With many returning pieces back, expectations are much higher going into the new season.
An early win against one of the country’s best teams will not only place the Aggies into national talks and discussion, while also helping out their playoff chase — it will also give the team some much needed confidence heading into a brutal SEC schedule.
