3. Bryce Love gets shut down again

It was very surprising to see the heavy favorite to win the Heisman start the season out with such a bad performance against the Aztecs.

It seems like every time Love got his hands on the ball the defensive line or linebacker were right at the line of scrimmage knocking him back. Stanford was lucky to win the game due to the emergence of the JJ Arcega-Whiteside but I think they will be in trouble this week.

Last season on his way to the Heisman runner-up, he had up and down games like the one we saw a week ago.

In last year’s games against the Trojans, Love averaged 19 carries for 142 yards and scored in each contest. I think he will start the game off with a few good runs but ultimately he will be held under 100 yards rushing and out of the end zone on the night.

Look for the defensive line to make plays in the backfield and keep him from getting into a good rhythm.
