2. Feleipe Franks gets right
It’s been an interesting career for Feleipe Franks. After winning the starting quarterback job out of camp a year ago, Franks was benched and later jostled up and down the depth chart as Jim McElwain struggled to produce a consistent offense
Franks was trusted with the reigns once again in 2018 and has been much better than he was a year ago. He’s thrown seven touchdowns and one interception over his first two starts, but only completed 44.7 percent of his passes in the loss to Kentucky.
The Wildcats have a stout pass defense whereas Colorado State has a porous secondary, at best. Through three games the Rams have allowed 894 yards and nine touchdowns against them through the air.
Franks doesn’t even need to have his A-game and he’ll roll out of bed and throw three touchdowns. But he’s much more talented than that. Five touchdowns for Franks and a crisp 400 yards passing for the intrepid third-year quarterback.
