College GameDay 2018: Lee Corso’s headgear pick for Oregon vs Stanford

College GameDay has been all over the country so far in 2018, but this was their first stop on the West Coast. Did Lee Corso pick Oregon or Stanford?

After stops to see Notre Dame play Michigan, Texas A&M take on Clemson and TCU give Ohio State a fight, the College GameDay crew went west to see the Oregon Ducks host the Stanford Cardinal in a pivotal Pac-12 matchup. Both teams enter the game undefeated and each has their eyes set on a conference championship. That goal could get a lot easier with a win on Saturday.

Stanford is a 2.5 point favorite at Autzen Stadium against the Ducks. That’s not too surprising considering the Cardinal’s dominant wins over San Diego State and USC already on their resume. Oregon has fared well too, but Bowling Green, Portland State and San Jose State have shown enough of what the Ducks will look like against a marquee opponent like the Cardinal.

The College GameDay crowd was a bit lackluster to kick things off, but that’s somewhat to be expected when the show went live at 6:00 a.m. local time. As the sun came up the fans got louder, ending the segment with a full, boisterous crowd and plenty of fervor.

Joined on stage for the event was: Kirk HerbstreitDesmond Howard and guest picker Tim Mathieson. The crew went through their usual routine, ending the show with their Week 4 picks. When it came time for Corso to make his pick he came through with his typical flair:
