2. Jeff Thomas breaks 150 yards, scores twice

Has there been a more impressive player for the Hurricanes through three weeks than sophomore wide out Jeff Thomas? It’d be hard to argue to the contrary, especially since he has two 100-yard games with five receptions in each contest and in the other game, he had just one catch, but made the most of it, taking it 67 yards for a touchdown.

Florida International doesn’t have the best passing defense in the country, allowing over 250 yards per game through the air. That should be music to Malik Rosier’s ears.

What will he do about it? He’ll hit his favorite receiver eight times for 150-plus yards and two touchdowns on his way to a big game himself. Thomas is going to have his best game of the season and he’ll approach the 500-yard mark for the season — and it’s only Week 4.

What’s wild about this prediction is that it’ll give him more receiving yards in four games this season than he had all of last year — same with touchdowns and receptions.
