2. Dorian Thompson-Robinson out-duels Steven Montez

While the Bruins will struggle to slow Travon McMillian on the ground, they’ll do just enough to slow Steven Montez as Dorian Thompson-Robinson has the game of his career.

The Buffaloes have a decent passing defense, allowing just 215 yards per game through the air, but Thompson-Robinson will do a little bit with his arm as well as his legs. He showed that dual-threat ability a bit more against Fresno State than he did in his first two games, rushing for 49 yards, but his accuracy suffered through the air.

Montez, on the other hand, is known as a solid passer, but will struggle against the Bruins as Thompson-Robinson wins this battle of quarterbacks.

The UCLA freshman will pass for 285 yards and rush for another 60 while recording four total touchdowns — three through the air and one on the ground. Oh yeah, and he won’t turn the ball over at all. This will be a huge step in the right direction for the young passer.
