4. Rakeem Boyd breaks out, takes over at running back

While the run defense impresses, the offense will see an increase in production from former Last Chance U star running back Rakeem Boyd.

The JUCO transfer has gotten a small opportunity to shine this season and he’s taken full advantage, rushing for 192 yards on 6.2 per touch. He’s been an explosive runner for the Razorbacks and he’s going to take over as the No. 1 running back, though Devwah Whaley has plenty of potential.

Boyd had a slow start to the season, carrying the ball six times for 12 yards against Eastern Illinois but he bounced back to account for 67 yards on seven touches against Colorado State. He did record a single touch against North Texas but over the last two games, he’s rushed 18 times for 113 yards. He needs more carries.

We are going to see one of the most underrated one-two tandems in the SEC grow in the month of October with Boyd leading the way. Have to feed the hot hand.
