This week’s college football binge-watch guide includes all of the stages of grief about so many good games happening at 3:30 p.m. ET instead of being spread throughout the day.

Pretty much every week I’ve written this article so far this season, I’ve talked about how we’re looking for that one big week filled with either upsets or marquee matchups that makes college football feel like it has truly arrived. We’ve had big games, like Ohio State-Penn State, Notre Dame-Virginia Tech, Texas-Oklahoma, Washington-Auburn, and plenty others. We’ve had upsets, like Florida over LSU, James Madison over Virginia Tech, and Mississippi State over Auburn.

However, it doesn’t feel like we’ve had a week filled with both upsets and massive games. We haven’t had that one week, just loaded to the brim with great football to watch, from noon to the last night Pac-12 after dark games. While I’m not quite ready to declare that week seven will be exactly what we’ve wanted, I think this is the best slate of the season yet.

It has big games, it has upset potential, it has depth, and it should make for a great weekend of football. Unfortunately, the biggest games of the game almost all are happening at the same time, but to complain about too much good football feels a bit spoiled. With that being said, I usually try to limit my day game picks to two a slot, and expand a bit at night. That won’t be the case this week, as I have four 3:30 p.m. EST games that need recommended, and only two worthy primetime games.

Before we jump into the picks, let’s review how last week’s picks did. Of the eight games I recommended (wasn’t a super deep week), seven were interesting or entertaining to watch, putting me just over 87 percent. That’s my best week to date, and it moves my overall average up to just over 67 percent. Pretty good!
