Notre Dame football has made it through the thick of their schedule, moving on to face Pitt in Week 7 of the college football season.

The Irish survived a shaky start in what ended up being a 45-23 win over Virginia Tech, pushing Notre Dame to a 6-0 record midway through the season. Meanwhile, Pitt sits at 3-3 with a 2-1 record in the ACC. The Panthers have had a decent start to the season despite lopsided losses to Penn State and UCF, emerging with three wins over Albany, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse.

Had they eked out a close finish in North Carolina, Pitt could very well be sitting at 4-2 with a 3-0 record in the ACC. Nevertheless, the Panthers will face off against Notre Dame for the sixth time since 2010  to continue a series in which the Irish currently lead 47-21-1.
