3. Matt Luke, Ole Miss Rebels

Ole Miss just handed this man a four year contract, deciding that he was their best option at the helm of their program. I question if they were just too lazy to keep looking or didn’t think the had enough pull with literally anyone, but it probably wasn’t the best decision to keep Matt Luke around for four more years unless he can materialize a competent defense out of nowhere.

The Rebels are bottom dwellers in the SEC and I don’t picture that changing any time soon. Luke has been at Ole Miss in some kind of capacity since 2012. That means he has been around in a big way for the current four game losing streak the Rebels have against the Arkansas Razorbacks. If there is anything more disappointing to say as an SEC West team than that you have a losing streak against Arkansas, I don’t know what it would be.

Call me crazy if you want, but for team morale at the very least, Ole Miss has to win this game. They can’t have a five game losing streak against Arkansas and still expect to have the team and the fans buy into your vision for the future of the program.
