1. Florida wins on last-second field foal

Though the Gators will get big games from Jordan Scarlett and Feleipe Franks, they won’t be able to slow down Kyle Shurmur.

Last season, the Gators were able to keep him under 50 percent on completions, but he did pass for 264 yards and three touchdowns with no picks. In 2016, the Gators swallowed up the talented passer, keeping him under 50 percent through the air as well, but this season will be different.

Florida’s defense is riding high after a strong showing against LSU, but this will be a typical hangover/trap game for the Gators.

Shurmur has his highest completion rate of his career thus far and he’s been protecting the ball fairly well with four picks in six games. He will keep Vanderbilt in this one, surprising the suddenly-hot Gators.

Florida will have the ball as the game heads down to the wire and Evan McPherson will remain on fire, hitting the game-winning field goal from 36 yards away to get Florida to bowl eligibility, breaking the Commodores hearts.
