Stanford football takes on Arizona State in Week 8. Can the Cardinal survive a Thursday edition of #Pac12AfterDark and stay in the mix for a Pac-12 title?

Stanford has suffered two painful early season losses and needs a win on Thursday night. A loss would send a promising season down an unforeseen and unwanted path. Going on the road is never easy, but Arizona State isn’t the toughest road trip the Cardinal will take this season.

Can the Cardinal stay alive in the Pac-12 North? Here are three bold predictions for their Thursday night #Pac12AfterDark game against Arizona State.

1. Bryce Love goes bonkers

Bryce Love’s absence from the lineup has been hard for the Cardinal to bare this season. His injury troubles have sidelined him for two of his first six contests and kept him from having much in the way of a breakout game whenever he was healthy enough to play.

Kept out of the Utah game last week, Love will be looking to avenge his team’s first Pac-12 loss. Last year Love gashed the Arizona State defense, racking up 301 yards. He might not be 100 percent, but even 50 percent of Love is something that opposing defensive coordinators would rather not have to deal with. Unfortunately for Arizona State, they won’t get the choice.
