2. Brett Rypien deserves more attention

When people talk about the best quarterbacks in the country, a name that never comes up, but should, is Brett Rypien. The Broncos’ senior gunslinger starter the season with four consecutive 300-yard games with 12 touchdowns and no interceptions, but had five picks to just two touchdowns in the two games before Friday.

The Rypien bandwagon, if there was one, was all but abandoned, but that all changed on Friday night as he showed off on the national stage, surpassing the 300-yard mark yet again and having as many incompletions (4) as touchdown passes (4).

The media needs to start talking about this kid more as he is getting hot at the right time with the Broncos hitting the meat of their schedule.

Rypien looked solid all night long, hitting his receivers in stride, going through his progressions and throwing darts left and right. The senior is on pace to break his junior campaign numbers and he deserves more recognition — he has over 11,000 career passing yards and 78 touchdowns, for crying out loud.
