2. Florida’s offense finally has a pulse

Finally, Florida is no longer just a defensive team and the Gators can rest easy knowing that they have an offense to fall back on when the defense gives up a touchdown.

In years past, if the Gators surrendered a score, it seemed insurmountable. Jim McElwain’s teams weren’t known for putting up points and even the slightest of deficits seemed to doom the Gators. That’s not the case anymore with Dan Mullen at the helm.

Feleipe Franks hasn’t been amazing, per se, but the young quarterback has improved in just about every aspect this season and he seems to be gaining some momentum with each start. His accuracy could use some work, as well as decision-making, but he’s getting better each week.

Yes, there is finally a passing game in Gainesville.

On top of that, the run game, led by Jordan Scarlett, has been picking up steam, too. The Gators are averaging 197 yards per game on the ground and that’s with Scarlett getting off to a slow start.

Georgia can no longer rely on scoring a couple of times against the Gators and feeling safe with a lead, this team can put up points.
