College GameDay went back to the SEC for a Week 9 tilt between Florida and Georgia, the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Who did Lee Corso pick?

When Florida fell to Kentucky early in the 2018 season all optimism of any kind regarding Dan Mullen’s inaugural season in Gainesville dissipated with haste. A little more than a month later and the Gators are the ninth-ranked team in the nation playing in a game that could vault them to the forefront of the SEC East against seventh-ranked Georgia.

That scene, No. 9 vs. No. 7 with a division title on the line, was an obvious destination for the popular ESPN Saturday morning show College GameDay. The crew has been all over the country this year and seen the likes of Notre Dame, Texas, Michigan, Clemson and Washington State. They have yet to see either the Bulldogs or the Gators in 2018. If the past few weeks have been any indication, they could be in for a treat.

Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard joined guest picker Evander Holyfield and Lee Corso on stage to make their picks for the top games of Week 9. They meander through a handful of games of varying intrigue before it was time to pick the winner of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

Corso was up to his usual antics, eventually settling in just long enough to make his official headgear prediction. He picked the Gators to pull off the upset.

Beyond Florida vs Georgia, a host of great games are scattered across the Week 9 slate. No. 18 Iowa plays No. 17 Penn State, No. 14 Washington State plays No. 24 Stanford and No. 6 Texas caps off the prime-time schedule with a game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater. Arizona hosts No. 19 Oregon in the late game of the evening, kicking off at 10:30 p.m. ET.
