College football recruiting never stops. Georgia is losing too many top players and Texas and Nebraska had big weeks. Here’s the latest news through Week 9.

More: Top college football recruiting updates from Week 9

A few weeks ago 5-star Jadon Haselwood reopened his recruitment, decommiting from newfound recruiting powerhouse, Georgia. Now the nation’s No. 1 running back John Emery has followed suite. Emery’s announcement means the Bulldogs have lost two of the nation’s top recruits in the span of less than a month. That’s a problem, even for a team as talented as Georgia.

The loss of those stars dropped Georgia all the way down to the No. 4 class in the nation. They only have three 5-star players in their 2019 class remaining, still one more than the next closest school and two more than SEC-rival Alabama.

Georgia isn’t going to skip a beat with the departures of Haselwood and Emery. They’ll find another blue-chip player to plug into the depth chart in their place. But something strange is going on if some of the nation’s best offensive players aren’t interested in playing for your school. It’s definitely a situation to monitor going forward.
