The Rebels move up one spot because honestly, everyone below them is worse than they are. Go ahead and give me the big lecture about how this team is fighting hard despite their inability to play in a bowl game after the big Hugh Freeze issue. Go ahead and talk about how Ta’amu is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and how AJ Brown is one of the best Ole Miss has ever seen.

All of that is true, but it doesn’t magically make their defense work- which is how they ended up here. This team has zero defense. If they are able to put together a strong defensive effort, it is only for a quarter- a half at most- this team is not going to rise into the Top 10 for power rankings this year, it just won’t happen.

This may anger some, but when do I not anger at least one fan group by the end of this article? Missouri won in Week 11, that is true and no one is taking that away from them. However, they also played Vanderbilt. How big of a win is that, truly?

I am still not convinced that Drew Lock is an NFL ready quarterback. Yeah sure, he and his team beat Florida. However, that was a week after playing Georgia. Kentucky was blown out by Tennessee in the same situation. I’m sorry Tigers, but you sit where you belong at this point.
