2. After this performance, Dwayne Haskins is headed to NYC

We all know that Tua Tagovailoa is headed to New York City as is Kyler Murray as finalists for the Heisman trophy. That isn’t at all a question. Both players have more than earned that trip as Kyler runs and throws for touchdowns week in and week out and Tua continues to outshine every other team in the SEC and some. However, after this performance against Michigan — one of the best defenses in the league this season — Dwayne Haskins has earned that trip as a finalist as well.

What did he do? Oh, he just broke Drew Brees Big Ten record for most touchdown passes in a single season. He now sits at 41 on the year with yet another strong performance. That record was set in 1998. Haskins now owns it as Brees is tearing apart secondary after secondary in the NFL.

Haskins is also the first player to ever — and I mean ever — to throw five touchdown passes against Michigan. This doesn’t happen very often and Haskins did it so effortlessly from the first snap to the last.

Of course, his defense helped him quite a bit in this one as they shut down Shea Patterson and the Michigan offense early and never seemed to let up. Even when things got crazy at the end of the first half, this team came ready to fight and after this performance if Haskins doesn’t head to NYC something is wrong with this world.
