1. The SEC East has nothing on the West and we will see that

Kentucky plays in the SEC East with the likes of Georgia and Florida. Those two teams may be good and playing in a New Year’s Six bowl, but the rest of that side of the conference really hasn’t done much of anything. Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Missouri and South Carolina aren’t much of anything if we are being completely honest.

Let’s remember that Tennessee beat Kentucky — so did Georgia. This team nearly lost to Vanderbilt. That isn’t all that great of a track record.

When playing the West, which the Wildcats played Texas A&M who finished second in the division and were the losers in overtime as well as Mississippi State who they found a way to dominate. They’ll be the first to tell you that the likes of Auburn, LSU or Alabama would demolish this Kentucky team simply due to their lack of definitive offensive structure.

My point here? Penn State will show us that the second best team in the East is no where near an Alabama or a Georgia for that matter.

My bold prediction is that Penn State is going to win this one handily. However, it won’t mean much on behalf of the SEC. The East is a completely different set of skills than the West and at times are a disappointment to the rest of the conference itself, of course Georgia and Florida who has now blown apart Michigan notwithstanding.
