1. Dan Mullen has this program headed in the right direction

Just one season ago, Florida finished with a 4-7 overall record and missed a bowl game under the direction of Jim McElwain and Randy Shannon. The Gators had the No. 109 scoring offense in the country and 69th-ranked scoring defense. Things looked grim and it didn’t seem like a quick fix was imminent.

Fast forward and the Gators finished 10-3 — the first time Florida had less than four losses since 2012. They improve to the No. 22 scoring offense in the nation (up 87 spots) and 20th-ranked scoring defense (up 49 spots). Everything seems to be trending in the right direction under Dan Mullen and the turnaround is ahead of schedule.

No one expected this team to contend in the SEC after an ugly 2017 season but they did just that and on top of that, Michigan was supposed to run right through the Gators in the Peach Bowl — but it was the other way around.

Florida has everything working for it heading into the 2019 season and a lot of the success can be attributed to Mullen changing the culture and instilling his winning attitude into the Gators.
