You can never have enough athletes and speed and that’s exactly what Mark-Antony Richards brings to the table for Florida. The four-star athlete from West Palm Beach, Fla., looks like he could be a running back at the next level — or at least that’s where he’d fit in best with the Gators.

Like most high school stars, he has kick return potential as well. He’s an explosive athlete who could take a short gain and turn it into a 75-yard run in the blink of an eye.

Unfortunately, Florida may be fighting a losing battle for this kid. He’s got his sights set on four schools, primarily, and the Gators look to be attempting to make up ground, but Miami may be too far in the lead along with Penn State and Auburn.

There’s still a chance he could surprise some people and pick the Gators, but that’s not something I’d advise holding your breath on.

Richards is ranked the No. 100 player in the class and third-best athlete, according to 247Sports. He could bring a speed element to the backfield and if he doesn’t play running back, the staff would have to find a spot for this talented kid.
