Another spot that this team is thin at brings yet another instant impact recruit. This is a kid who held an offer from Alabama and one from Clemson. That tells me that this is a player worth talking about and one who will very likely make an instant impact on the field for those guys in Maroon and White.

Anybody Nick Saban or Dabo Swinney recruits is a guy who we all should be interested in, that much is for certain after the last few seasons.

Leal is one of those guys who has been on the radar for the Aggies since Kevin Sumlin was the head coach of the program. That being said, it seems that Jimbo Fisher was the guy that really sealed the deal for this defensive tackle out of Converse, Texas. He committed to the Aggies in April, but made it official on Dec. 20.

When asked about his decision stick with and early enroll at Texas A&M, Leal commented on the coaches the themselves.

“The way they talked to me and encouraged me to do everything I needed to do in school. The fan base, the alumni, every part of A&M just kept me (after Fisher took over),” Leal told the San Antonio Express.

The unanimous District 26-6A Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 is going to be a starter in 2019 for sure, especially with the likes of Kinglsey Keke, Daylon Mack and Landis Durham headed to the NFL.
