Florida football heads into the offseason with plenty of question marks. What are the biggest questions the Gator offense needs to answer?

Dan Mullen’s first year with the Florida Gators can be dubbed successful because, well, he led the program back to relevancy and a win over Michigan (which had the Gators’ number in recent years) in the Peach Bowl was enough to give fans hope for the future.

No, we aren’t talking 3-5 years down the line, but rather 2019 could be a big season for the Gators. Bringing in a top recruiting class and returning some key players, the Gators have a chance to make some noise in the SEC East after finishing with a tie for second in 2018.

There are some questions that Florida needs to answer first, though. What needs to be answered before the 2019 campaign starts on the offensive side of the ball?

5. Can offensive line adequately be replaced?

This is a big question mark for the Gators who are losing essentially everyone from up front. The depth will make up for those losses in the starting lineup, but when you have four solid contributors graduating up front, that leaves plenty to question.

Can the offensive line replacements adjust in time for the start of the season?

The Gators are losing guys like Jawaan Taylor, Fred Johnson, Tyler Jordan and Martez Ivey which means there are four guys who need to step up and fill those big shoes up front. The offensive line was a strength for Florida last season and losing some guys who are NFL talents will mean that some underclassmen could take the lead.

Don’t sleep on the 2019 recruiting class which reeled in two four-star guards and a four-star tackle which could add depth.

This new unit in the trenches needs to gel by the time September rolls around.
