Let’s face it, Florida wants revenge here. Losing to the Wildcats is something that Florida’s not used to and the Gators are going to make sure Kentucky doesn’t piece together its first two-game winning streak since 1976-77.

Good news for Florida is that Benny Snell is headed off to the NFL and won’t be able to run all over the Gators’ defense. The bad news is that this contest is on the road against a much-improved Kentucky football program under the direction of Mark Stoops.

Florida hasn’t lost in Lexington since 1986 and they won’t lose this one because, well, I’m sure Dan Mullen has heard enough about how he blew the Gators’ winning streak against Kentucky in his first season with the program. That and the Wildcats will be searching desperately for a spark on offense with Snell gone.

The Gators will lead this one from start to finish in front of a raucous crowd in Lexington. Terry Wilson will struggle against the Florida secondary and Kentucky’s offense will sputter.

Final Score: Florida 31, Kentucky 16 (3-0, 1-0 SEC)
