NFL Draft 2019: Top 10 bust-proof prospects entering NFL combine
By Shelbie Warr
Many may try to come at me for this one because in terms of draft boards DK Metcalf sits ahead of AJ Brown for just about everyone. Why? Because Metcalf is a huge human who seems to be a pretty safe bet for most everybody.
I disagree, though, as the young man seems to be injury-prone and the NFL has no place for that — you know unless you’re the Dallas Cowboys with linebacker Sean Lee or former quarterback Tony Romo.
On the other side, you have Brown who has been one of the most consistent guys to come out of Ole Miss in a long time and that is saying something with how many great wide outs have come out of Oxford in recent years. They have become the newest “Wide Receiver U”.
Brown’s junior year was one for the books, with 1,320 yards and six touchdowns. The year before he had 11, though he was more of the star of the show in 2017 than he was in 2018. All of that considered though, one team is going to get extremely lucky with Brown. He is as bust proof as they come in terms of wideouts in the 2019 draft class.
