Spring football is upon us, and each SEC Football team has plenty of question marks to iron out as they prepare for the 2019 season.

Before the dog days of summer are upon us, the football gods tease us with the slightest of appetizers for a new season with spring practices and various scrimmage games offering brief glimpses of the product we can expect to see on the field in 2019.

The glimpses are brief, though, and rarely show the full picture. A lot of teams will look drastically different between the spring and fall, with various position battles playing out and potentially leading to transfers during the summer. Not to mention there’s still a ton of incoming freshmen talent who weren’t able to enroll early.

The SEC is coming off a strong 2018 season that saw four teams earn berths into the New Year’s Six. Alabama, LSU, and Florida all won their bowl matchups, with Georgia suffering a surprising defeat to Texas in the Sugar Bowl.

The conference was unable to snatch a second consecutive National Championship, with Alabama running into a Clemson buzz-saw in Santa Clara.

Plenty of talent returns to the league for the 2019 year, and several programs are trending up in hopes of challenging the status quo of Alabama and Georgia’s stranglehold atop the conference hierarchy.

LSU and Texas A&M look ready to challenge Alabama for SEC West supremacy, and Dan Mullen’s Florida took a giant leap in the right direction in year one, and figure to push Georgia for the East.

Before we can get to the action on the gridiron to see how it all sorts out, the grind of spring practice must be completed, with each team having a bevy of question marks to sort out. There will be position battles galore, with several high-profile battles likely extending into fall camp and potentially even into the season.

Let’s take a look at storylines to follow for every SEC team in spring practice:
