It’s safe to say Oklahoma’s receiver position is locked down better than any in college football after this spring. The Sooners brought in some blue-chip talent in the 2019 class at the position, including early enrollee former five-star Theo Wease.

All eyes were on the receiving corps during the spring game, especially after losing Marquise Brown to the NFL, but there doesn’t seem to be much of a drop-off, if any at all.

CeeDee Lamb will likely be a No. 1 target and there are other pass-catching options such as Charleston Rambo, Lee Morris and Grant Calcaterra but don’t sleep on the incoming freshman class to break into that starting rotation.

Wease had himself quite the debut in a Sooner uniform, at least in front of thousands of fans in attendance, catching three passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.

The 6-3, 200-pound wide out from Allen, Texas, lived up to the hype immediately and will be a fun watch this fall.
