Ronnie Bell wasn’t exactly a highly-touted recruit at the high school level, but he’s one of those guys who has already exceeded prospect rankings and could become a star for the Wolverines.

The offensive coaching staff has done a solid job with him and he’s bulked up since being a lanky 6-1, 170-pound receiver from Kansas City. The redshirt sophomore had a strong spring following his first eligible season where he caught eight passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns — scoring a touchdown on 25 percent of his catches isn’t too shabby.

With Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins out this spring, Bell has had a chance to flash his potential and he’s done just that this spring, even breaking off a 45-yard catch and run during the Wolverines’ spring game.

The Wolverines are stacked at receiver, especially when the injured contributors make their return, but Bell could be one of those under-the-radar stars in 2019 after a strong spring.
