1. USC

No, I’m not talking about the University of South Carolina, who also made his top schools list near the end of his recruiting process, but rather the Southern California Trojans.

Just down the road from his hometown of Bellflower, Calif., — quite literally — is USC. In fact, the exact distance from Bellflower to Los Angeles is just 18 miles which is about a 30-minute drive. He could be close to home and play for a team he likely grew up watching, trying to get them back to their dominant days which would be a dream come true for most kids.

This makes the most sense because of the proximity to his hometown and the fact that he was high on the Trojans throughout the recruiting process as well. He was actually committed to USC before de-committing and including the Trojans in his top five before making his final decision.

Could he head back home and rejoin the program to which he was originally committed? It almost seems like the best scenario for everyone involved and there’s a chance he could be granted immediate eligibility which could mean he competes for playing time immediately.

Steele back home to USC? It just makes too much sense.
