1. Florida will lose at least three regular season games

I’m not sure exactly where the three losses will happen. If you made me go game-by-game and predict the outcome of each of them, I would probably predict that they go 10-2. However, there would be a lot of games that I would predict they barely win. Because of that, I’m going to add in one more loss for growing room.

Both will be close games, but I believe Florida will lose at home against Georgia and on the road against LSU. LSU will almost definitely be a night game, and those are just tough to win. Also, LSU will have an aggressive defense led by Grant Delpit at safety. Georgia will simply be the better team. They’ve won their division in the last two years for a reason. It will be tough for Florida to avoid a three-peat.

Outside of those two games, Florida might be favored in every game. However, some will be incredibly close. I don’t see them closing all of those games out. It might be at home against the Auburn Tigers. It might be on the road against an improving South Carolina team. I don’t think it will be, but it might be the first game against Tate Martell and the Miami Hurricanes. Heck, it might be the last game against rival Florida State.

At the end of the day, Florida will be an improved team in Dan Mullen’s second season at the helm. However, they also got lucky with a couple of upsets, and they have a harder schedule in total this season. They will be successful, but I still don’t see them making it to the SEC Championship in a division with Georgia.
