Non-conference play is officially over and at this point in the season, the Buckeyes will be hoping to continue the momentum they built against lesser opponents — with the exception of a much-improved Cincinnati team — to take down one of the Big Ten’s up-and-coming programs.

It’s hard to dub Nebraska as an “up-and-comer” because of all the success it’s had over the course of its program’s history, but it’s been a while since the Cornhuskers were contending for titles.

Now that Scott Frost is in town, things are looking up and many are even labeling Nebraska as a favorite to win the Big Ten West over Wisconsin and Northwestern. Heck, when the Cornhuskers faced the Buckeyes last season in Columbus, Ohio State had to sweat out a win, beating them 36-31 in a tight battle.

Adrian Martinez could give the Buckeyes some problems and this may be that game that really wakes Ohio State up and makes it realize that it’s not invincible.

Justin Fields will come back down to earth and the Buckeye defense will have a tough time slowing the electric Nebraska offense. This has upset alert written all over it.

Final Score: Ohio State 23, Nebraska 30 (4-1, 1-1)
