Every year, Oklahoma State proves to be a difficult matchup. Mike Gundy has been one of the most consistent coaches in college football and that won’t change in 2019 even though he may be looking for a new starting quarterback to replace Taylor Cornelius who shocked some people in 2018 with 3,900 yards and 32 touchdowns.

More from Iowa State Cyclones

Oklahoma State’s offense is going to be lethal no matter who is starting under center, even if that means freshman Spencer Sanders who is currently the favorite to win the job over Dru Brown.

The Cowboys will travel to Iowa State fresh off three straight conference wins and they’ll be looking to stay near the top of the Big 12 standings.

The Cyclones will stop the Cowboys’ run and assert themselves near the top of the Big 12 title race. Will this be enough to set Iowa State for an upset the following week over Oklahoma? Either way, this will be a momentum-building win.

Final Score: Oklahoma State 30, Iowa State 33 (7-1, 4-1)
