Previewing the offense

Louisiana will have to replace its quarterback with the departure of 2018 starter Andre Nunez. Luckily the Cajuns return their dynamic running backs to help new starter Levi Lewis as he takes the reins for Louisiana.

Offensively, Louisiana returns a lot of firepower to continue to be one of the most explosive teams in the Sun Belt.

Lining up behind Lewis will be a dynamic duo at running back with the return of Trey Ragas and Elijah Mitchell — the duo rushed for 1,181 and 985 yards respectively and also combined for 21 touchdowns in 2018. Add to that a third running back in Raymond Calais who himself rushed for 754 yards and seven touchdowns the Louisiana rushing attach should be formidable in 2019.

At the wide receiver position, the Cajuns will look to senior Ja’marcus Bradley to be the go-to target. He finished 2018 with 608 yards and 10 touchdowns. Another player to keep an eye on is Jarrod Jackson who had 19 receptions in 2018 for 325 yards and four touchdowns.

All and all the Ragin’ Cajuns return a lot of production from a successful 2018 season and look to improve on that success and be one of the most exciting offenses in the Sun Belt in 2019.
