Kailon Davis was one of the fan favorites of Last Chance U’s fourth season, but where is the talented defensive lineman now?

The big guy with the big heart, Kailon Davis was always the center of attention in Season 4 of Last Chance U, and most of the time it was for a good reason.

In the earlier episodes of Season 4, he was seen as Bobby Bruce‘s right-hand man but after he departed, he was a slightly distraught and trying to find himself. He was the goofy kid in class who never talked bad about anyone, but there were times where he wanted to give up and had the help of a couple of teachers, as well as the trainer, who kept him on track.

Davis had his fair share of injuries — like most of the stars of the season — and the biggest was a concussion he suffered late in the season which he tried to cover up from the training staff.

When Davis wasn’t walking around in the back of class or singing while taking an ice bath in the training room, he was working hard to impress the coaches on the field, proving he wasn’t just “the other defensive end” opposite No. 1 JUCO prospect Jermaine Johnson.

The former zero-star prospect from Reserve, La., did just that, earning plenty of attention for his solid play and was even ranked the No. 184 overall JUCO prospect in the 2019 class and 15th-best strong-side defensive end, according to 247Sports.

Though he didn’t draw a ton of Power Five interest, he held offers from South Alabama, Southern Miss, UAB, Western Kentucky and Arkansas State, committing to the latter.

Heading into the 2019 season, Davis is on an FBS roster, which he didn’t think was possible a few years earlier, and is on the Red Wolves’ two-deep depth chart at defensive end behind William Bradley-King. He could become the next Last Chance U star to push for a spot on an NFL roster if his time in Jonesboro, Ark., goes as planned.
