The most anticipated Week 0 game in quite some time will take place in Orlando between these Gators and Miami. While it seems like this should be an annual rivalry game and a staple on both programs’ yearly schedules, it’s actually the first time they’re meeting since 2013 and only the third time since 2004.

It’s fair to say, though, that these two teams don’t like each other. The Gators and Hurricanes held a fierce rivalry before the turn of the century and this is a game that could renew it.

However, Jarren Williams will get a ‘welcome to college football’ moment as he’s attempted just three passes before being named Miami’s starter over Tate Martell and N’Kosi Perry. He’ll be facing one of the top defenses in the nation in front of potentially millions of viewers to kick off the 2019 season. To say the pressure is on would be an understatement.

Williams will throw a couple of picks early in the game that will lead to a comfortable lead for the Gators, but Miami will claw its way back into it.

In the end, it’ll be Feleipe Franks’ experience that makes the difference.

Final Score: Miami 21, Florida 27 (1-0)
