Kentucky had a historic 2018 season, to say the least. The Wildcats won double-digit games and finished in the AP’s top 12 for the first time since 1977, beat Florida for the first time since 1986 and were competitive for the first time in recent memory.

Mark Stoops has been working wonders with this program in his six years in charge, but Florida is going to be out for blood in Week 3.

To say that the Gators were unhappy with the 31-year streak coming to an end against Kentucky — at home, no less — would be a massive understatement. Dan Mullen’s team was angry and you can bet there are players on the roster who vowed to never let it happen again.

There’s nothing to be embarrassed about, though. Kentucky was a strong team that finished the season 10-3 and had an all-conference back in Benny Snell leading the way. Now that he’s gone, the offense will take a step back, even with Terry Wilson returning.

Florida goes on the road and steals one from Kentucky to start a new winning streak.

Final Score: Florida 24, Kentucky 16 (3-0, 1-0 SEC)
